Welcome to our Room 12 blog page!

I am Mrs Taylor.

We have had a wonderful first week at school, scroll down and see our learning for this week!

Our story for the week has been Mrs Wishy-Washy.

The children found this very funny, and we learned language and reading skills.

We have been learning Casey the Caterpillar, and have been focusing on 'tall sticks' and 'tunnels'.

Our Values

The three values Target Primary have are: RESPECT, RESILIENCE and RESPONSIBILITY.  This week, Room 12 have been focusing on RESPECT.

We thought hard about what being 'respectful' looks like, and sounds like, and we came up with these pictures detailing our ideas:

  • PT - remember our manners - Please and Thank you.
  • Putting our hand up, when on the mat.
  • Respecting our school uniform.
  • Keeping our hands and feet to ourselves.
  • Being respectful of others' chair bags, and what is inside them.
  • Lunch box and drink bottle - respecting each others' lunches and only eating our own.

Here are some photos of our learning:

This is Jenni from the Life Education Bus.  We had a lesson with Jenni on Thursday, and met Harold the giraffe!

We watched a video about Jocko the Monkey learning to eat a balanced diet, and not JUST bananas!  Jenni was telling us it is good to eat lots of different foods.

Here is a small gallery of students' learning through play:

Thank you for visiting Room 12's blog of our first week at school!

See you next time!
